      Located Downtown on the Waterfront, Baldwins is one of New Zealand’s leading firms of Patent Attorneys and specialises in advising clients on protection, enforcement and management of their Intellectual Property rights.

      Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Renewals Assistant to join our support function within the Renewals Department. You will join a small team who are responsible for the renewals of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks for their clients who are leading New Zealand and overseas companies.

      As a Renewals Assistant your main responsibility will be to maintain our Intellectual Property Management System by way of data entry for all aspects of work generated, including manual entry and maintenance of our database. This role requires an organised candidate with a professional outlook and an excellent customer service ethic. Ongoing training and support will be provided to the successful candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist organisation in a challenging role working both autonomously and as part of a team.

      As a successful candidate for this junior role you will have:

      * 1-2 years work experience in a client service related industry
      * a willingness to learn and be capable of thinking for yourself
      * an advanced attention to detail and accuracy
      * excellent written and verbal communication skills
      * an ability to prioritise effectively and work as a member of a team
      * an ability to relate warmly to a diverse range of people
      * have proficient and accurate keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs.

      It is essential that you possess a high level of initiative and a ‘can do’, proactive attitude together with a willingness to learn and grow into the role.
