Chris McLeod is a partner in the firm’s Technology & Intellectual Property team and also leads the firm’s Sports, Entertainment & Marketing industry group. Chris McLeod is a technology and intellectual property lawyer who also has considerable trade practices experience. His practice has a particular focus on the law as it relates to all aspects of marketing (including sponsorships) and sport.

Chris McLeod acts for clients in contentious and non contentious matters across the entire intellectual property spectrum, including in relation to trade marks, copyright, patents, designs, passing off and confidential information. Chris McLeod has a broad range of experience in drafting and negotiating confidentiality agreements, IP licences, distribution and agency agreements and a wide range of technology related agreements including technology licences, IT agreements and agreements relating to websites and the Internet generally. Chris McLeod has worked with a broad range of clients to develop and implement brand protection strategies (including applying for and registering appropriate trade marks) and has acted for both current and previous employers in actions against employees for wrongful use of confidential information and IP.
