A position has arisen for a Trainee Patent Attorney to join our National Biotech Group. The position is located in our Melbourne office and will involve the full spectrum of Patent Attorney activities, in particular, drafting and prosecution of patent applications for local and international clients, preparing and prosecuting design applications, providing opinions on infringement, advising on patentability, managing client relationships and working with group members. The successful candidate for this role will have:
* at least an Honours Degree and preferably a higher Degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology, immunology, microbiology or a related field;
* industry or further research experience will be regarded favourably; and
* a demonstrable commitment to qualifying/registering and working as a Patent Attorney.
Candidates who have commenced the Patent Attorney qualification process will also be highly regarded.
