ICC IP tool-kit for chambers of commerce

Class 46 - top of the class for European trade mark news: Anti-counterfeiting is an important topic at the moment. On its website the Internationale Handelskammer Deutschland, the German division of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) reports of a new initiative, which will assist chambers of commerce and business organizations to help their local businesses to use IP to increase their competitiveness. Further information on this initiative is available on the ICC’s website:

“The ICC IP tool-kit for chambers of commerce was created to support these chamber initiatives. Through the tool-kit, chambers can access information on existing chamber IP programmes, and other IP resources, material and information.

To help chambers translate these tools into concrete initiatives, ICC plans to organize - with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) SME’s Division - IP training programmes for chambers.

This project was built on the expertise of ICC’s Commission on Intellectual Property and the ICC World Chambers Federation’s vast network of chambers of commerce worldwide. ICC is also actively helping companies to combat counterfeiting and piracy through its Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP) initiative.”
