Senior Legal Counsel (Sydney) - PricewaterhouseCoopers

PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Office of General Counsel is seeking a dynamic lawyer with 10-12 years post admission experience in large law firms, specifically in corporate/commercial law. The role requires high levels of communication with the business as you will be offering legal advice and support across all Lines of Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hands on in-house role whilst receiving excellent mentoring and training.

Duties will include:

* Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of professional services agreements and other contractual documents.
* Advise on a wide range of statutory and contractual obligations and responsibilities, including in the areas of privacy, IP, trade practices, sponsorships, Corporations legislation, trademarks and copyright, etc.
* Provide legal input on risk, independence and conflicts issues.
* Assist with responding to notices from courts and regulators.
* Present risk management training sessions.
* Draft and develop policies on a range of issues.

Skills/experience required:

* 10-12 years post admission experience.
* Large law firm background strongly preferred.
* Background in corporate/commercial law including good understanding of contract and tort law and relevant legislation.
* Ability to provide well-considered, practical legal advice
* Excellent drafting and analytical skills
* Ability to work efficiently
* Confidence and flexibility to handle a large number of files involving a wide variety of issues
* Ability to communicate confidently with senior management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
