Legal Counsel - Sydney Based International Company

Working for a Sydney based international company; you will be the sole Legal Counsel, working for an online based business within the APAC region, you will be provided with a broad variety of work and have a high level of autonomy. Working closely with the business units of this prominent business, your main task will be to provide legal advice with respect to IP/IT and internet issues.
Responsibilities of the role will involve, but not limited to;
* Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts
* Provide guidance and advice to necessary stakeholders regarding contracts
* Provide commercial advice to all business units within the APAC region
* Liaise with external lawyers
* Handle and advise on corporate matters relating to the running of the business
* Managing litigation matters
* Ad hoc legal support on a board range of legal issues
We are seeking a commercial lawyer with minimum 4 years post qualification experience gained from a reputable firm or from a ‘Top 100” listed company. Exposure to IT/IP or online business practices will be viewed favourably. You will have the ability to work unsupervised, build client rapport and successfully engage with senior business leaders. To be successful, you will thrive in a dynamic and challenging business environment. This role will best suit an intermediate lawyer with 4-6 years pqe who is looking for an autonomous in-house position with excellent career prospects and benefits. On offer is $100,000 - $115,000 (base plus super) + bonus (10% - performance based) + share option ($20,000/year – performance based). IP/IT Lawyer Hong Kong - 3-5 PQE Leading Global Firm
Leading global firm seeks a mid level commercial IP lawyer to join their Hong Kong office.
Successful candidates will have between 3 to 5 years experience in IP/IT gained at a top tier firm.
Commercial contract drafting experience is essential e.g. IT/ technology and other licensing agreements, sponsorship agreements, distribution and manufacturing agreements etc.
You must also have solid experience in using your IP knowledge to support M&A transactions e.g performing due diligence on the target company’s intellectual property and reviewing the commercial contracts of the target company to identify problems and risks for potential investors, together with drafting connected IP documents.
Chinese language skills are NOT needed.
