This role will see you work alongside an esteemed Partner, with great access to the firm’s major clients, and in cooperation with other related practice groups. You will be required to provide high level specialist advice and innovative solutions in relation to a range of interesting products and services.

You will be working within a multi-disciplined Technology team and you will regularly assist and advise clients in relation to:

* IT procurement;
* Outsourcing;
* Telecommunications agreements;
* E-commerce;
* IP commercialisation and licensing;
* Technology for mergers, acquisitions and floats;
* Online security and privacy;
* Procurement strategies and major supply contracts; and
* Technology development, licensing and commercialisation.

As a leading TMT practice of US firm in the APAC region our client is renowned for their work on cross-border transactions and ventures in the IT & Communications sector provided by local support and international expertise.
Our client is looking for an additional associate with Technology experience to join its Technology Media and Telecommunications Group in Hong Kong. You will be working with clients that include blue chip corporations, large scale international organisations, financial institutions and IT suppliers and subcontractors.

The candidate will primarily be involved in drafting and advising on technology and commercial agreements and will provide support on corporate transactions in the TMT sector.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 – 5 years experience in a TMT practice, gained at another top tier law firm. The successful candidate should have good experience in drafting a variety of IT and commercial agreements that include software development agreements, licensing, distribution and supply agreements, outsourcing agreements, support, and maintenance and service level agreements. Experience in advising on ecommerce, privacy, commercial IP and/or telecommunications issues would also be beneficial.

Applicants must be trained and qualified from Australia, UK, or Hong Kong. Whilst excellent English language skills are a must - Chinese language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
