In-House Counsel - Leading IT Service Provider

This major IT service provider is one of the leader in its field. Due to the increase in demands on the legal team, a unique opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer to become an integral member of a close-knit, strategic legal team that supports the business. This opportunity allows for constant interaction with internal stakeholders, whilst working together to achieve key commercial objectives. This role, working closely with senior counsel, requires experience in managing a broad range of IT and IP issues. Specific responsibilities will include providing general commercial advice to the sales, commercial and procurement business units in relation to bids, tenders and contracts (with an I.T. focus) as well as drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of IT contracts, IP risk management, commercial agreements and contracts. Ideally, you will be a commercial lawyer with minimum 4 years post qualification experience gained from a top tier law firm and/or in-house organisation. An IT related degree or interest would also be well regarded. This role will best suit an intermediate lawyer who is looking for an autonomous in-house position with excellent career prospects and benefits. You will have the ability to work unsupervised, build client rapport and successfully engage with senior business leaders.
