Due to the increase in demands on the legal team, a unique opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer to become an integral member of a close-knit, strategic legal team that supports the business. Our client is looking for an additional associate with Technology experience to join its Technology Media and Telecommunications Group in Hong Kong. You will be working with clients that include blue chip corporations, large scale international organisations, financial institutions and IT suppliers and subcontractors.

The candidate will primarily be involved in drafting and advising on technology and commercial agreements and will provide support on corporate transactions in the TMT sector.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 – 5 years experience in a TMT practice, gained at another top tier law firm. The successful candidate should have good experience in drafting a variety of IT and commercial agreements that include software development agreements, licensing, distribution and supply agreements, outsourcing agreements, support, and maintenance and service level agreements. Experience in advising on ecommerce, privacy, commercial IP and/or telecommunications issues would also be beneficial.

Applicants must be trained and qualified from Australia, UK, or Hong Kong. Whilst excellent English language skills are a must - Chinese language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
