Thales Australia - Legal Counsel

Thales Australia is part of a Global organisation and a fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Legal Services Division for a Legal Counsel to work both independently and in conjunction with senior team lawyers working across all divisions within the group.
The role will see you working closely with the divisions, negotiating, drafting and settling major contracts and commercial arrangements, whilst also working with the General Counsel and Company Secretary in relation to general Corporate matters. You will offer assistance across a wide range of legal issues, including Company Secretarial functions, new or proposed legislation, supply agreements, and all types of commercial transactions that affect the business. If you are looking for a role where you will counsel and advise business divisions on the legal aspects of doing business in Australia then this is the role for you!
To be successful in this role you will have obtained a degree in law, be admitted as a Solicitor in an Australian State or Territory, and have at least 3 - 4 years experience within a corporate legal department or a reputable law firm. Experience with Intellectual Property would be advantageous, however it is not essential. You will be required to have excellent communication skills (written and oral) along with a desire to achieve. This role will require you to be self-sufficient and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
